Well I have posted a bunch about hiking and not much about bikes. I guess I should talk about that some since it is part of my blog title.
My Multistrada is still at the shop awaiting testing to see why she feels under-powered and gets what I think is poor fuel mileage on would expect a touring bike to be able to go more than 150 miles on a tank of gas.. in fact if i want to do the Trans-Labrador trip i would need to do 250 miles between gas stops. so that bike would not be able to do it. There are other Bikes of the same year and model which can do this so I know it should be something mine can do.
The Monster has been vexing me. The hydraulic clutch system keeps getting air in it and cannot find where it started last summer and at one point I blew out the slave cylinder. I replaced it with a used one but still had issues, so I put in another used one still had issues.. Then brought the master cylinder into the shop and had that cleaned and I bought and put in a NEW slave. Now it works for 2 or 3 days and then begins to get a spongy feel to the lever and I bleed more air out of it. when I have time I get a rebuild kit for the master.... after that i am at a loss as to what to do..
